New Port Richey Real Estate
Originally named for a body of water called “Orange Lake” New Port Richey Florida was incorporated in 1914 and became an official autonomous city in 1924. At the time that the city was founded the plan was for it to become a home for the “stars”. However, the great depression of the early 30s ended those hopes and the area began to slowly grow and develop with expansion centering around hotel and infrastructure development. Finally the 1960s saw rapid growth occurring in Pasco county and that growth quickly impacted New Port Richey. Today, New Port Richey has a rapidly developing town-center area that is focused on promoting and showcasing economic vitality and providing entertainment to its residents and visitors. There are a number of real estate options to consider here which include traditional single-family homes, condos, townhomes and mobile homes. There are also vacant land opportunities for those wishing to build their own home or construct large scale developments.
